Ramsbury Plant Services Ltd was first opened back in 1960 by William James Waite, from a small workshop in Ramsbury Marlborough.  

Travelling throughout the South and the Midlands in a Morris pickup, William repaired JCBs, John Deere tracked loaders, Bray and Wetheral and also reconditioned/redesigned and fitted 4236 Mercedes engines.

With work increasing, in 1990 William's Son David joined the business to work along side his father. 

In 1995, father and son attended the S.E.D show in Milton Keynes, with the recycling industry growing fast, they decided that the company would expand its portfolio to work with Doppstadt UK. 

Once training was completed in the German Doppstadt factory along side the workshop engineers, Ramsbury Plant Services broadened their work into repairing and rebuilding Doppstadt shredders and screeners, and could now offer their services throughout the UK and Southern Ireland.

Moving further into the industry and the increasing need for recycling machinery, Ramsbury Plant purchased their first Doppstadt screener for the purpose of hiring to customers. With the business thriving, the company has gone on to purchase a further 15 Doppstadt machines including screeners, shredders, standards and high speeds. After many years of dedicated hard work William decided to step down and pass the reigns onto his son David who became the director. Due to the expansion of the company and the growing workforce into a new field, the small workshop in Ramsbury was no longer equipped for the businesses needs, so the company moved to a bigger workshop in Reading were the business currently resides.

Ramsbury Plant Services Ltd is now fully equipped to maintain, service, repair and hire most Doppstadt recycling machinery.
